Is it really November?!? It’s so warm, dare I say balmy, out for this time of year. To put things in context, the first time my mom visited me after I moved to Calgary it was the beginning of November, it was seriously minus 25, and I didn’t have a car so we had to walk or take the train everywhere and she was like HOW DO YOU LIVE HERE?! November is ALWAYS freezing in Calgary. But hey… I’m definitely not complaining! Although I did feel a bit strange putting up the beginning of our Christmas decorations and drinking hot chocolate this weekend while it was so warm and sunny outside. Zach says it’s further indication that it is too soon for Christmas decorations… but he’s kind of a scrooge this time of year so I don’t listen to him. Haha. Emmylou is SO excited so at least I have someone on my side. We must have watched Frosty the Snowman at least three times this weekend and listened to Christmas music as well. I’m writing this on Sunday night after putting her to bed and we read a Christmas book she got last year. I thought it would be too long to read the whole thing because I remember trying to read it to her last year and she wasn’t really interested, but we read it all and she was so engrossed the whole time. Which makes me a little sad because time seriously does fly when you have small children! It made me realize that I really want to slow down and enjoy this season with her as much as I can.
Now, to these amazing photos: I had been thinking that I wanted to up my photo game recently because as much fun as Zach and I have taking photos on the weekend we are probably the definition of amateur. I wanted to start with some new profile photos for my social accounts and W&B About page, but I loved these so much I decided I had to do a whole post with them! I worked with Paige from Paige Woodbury Photography for these and oh my gosh it was such a great experience. We both had so much fun and loved the final product so much that we’ll definitely be working together more in the future.
My shirt is fro J.Crew and I’m seriously so in love with it. It has the cutest pink tulle detailing on the hem and it a great option for work or even a weekend brunch date! I also am loving these jeans – I’ve been living in them for the past few weeks and I don’t see that changing! They’re really stretchy and comfy but keep their shape really well. My necklace is sold out, but I was very close to ordering this one or this one – also really cute. Here is my bag in burgundy (grey is sold out but I also love this one and have had my eye on this braided one for a while…). And I’m STILL wearing sandals. Which is kind of amazing.
