So I’m in a bit of a conundrum. I desperately need to get my hair done… but I’m trying to get pregnant (!!!), and if I am I want to put off colouring my hair until later in the pregnancy. So I don’t even want to book a cut because if I do and then I find out I’m not pregnant yet I’ll be like ‘darn should have gotten in coloured while I can!’ So I wait… In brassy highlights purgatory… Basically if you notice in a month I haven’t gotten my hair coloured it means one of two things. Either I’m pregnant or just lazy. It could definitely go either way at this point…
Speaking of unwanted fumes, we’re also getting our house painted at the moment. Going from a beige to an almost white with a hint of grey undertones, which I’m hoping will brighten things up! We thought about going to Zach’s parent’s cabin for the two weekends the painting is happening, but ended up deciding to get a hotel in town and turn it into a bit of a staycation – which has turned out to be an excellent idea. We are staying downtown, right by the river, which has been perfect for walking the dogs. Emmylou even stayed with her grandparents on Saturday so we had the night to ourselves, which consisted of each devouring a full baguette and watching a movie. Lol. Late winter always seems to pass so slowly so it’s nice to do something fun to break it up a bit!
I wanted something casual and warm to wear this weekend because we’re going through another cold snap (ugh), so I pulled out an over-sized cardigan and my favorite jeans! Because you can never have too many oversized cardigans, I also love this drape front option, and this one is extra long and has pockets! This Top Shop option in light pink looks so cozy, and this lighter weight Free People option in navy would be great for spring. My bag is Fossil, but I also love this similar Rebecca Minkoff mini crossbody, and this faux leather option is a great price ($40!). My jeans are Rag and Bone and incredibly soft and comfortable. And my boots are on major sale right now!
Now excuse me as I continue to struggle through Monday morning, in this -20 weather. Please send coffee if you have extra :).
