Ahhh what a busy week/weekend I’ve had! On Wednesday I traveled solo to San Diego for Social Media Marketing World Conference (it was my first time going and it was absolutely ah-mazing). I had four days there to explore the city, eat gelato and soak up the sun – and ended up with quite the sunburn for my efforts… oops. I got back late Saturday and since then things have been go-go-go. Catching up on errands with Emmylou, and catching up on so much work (I took a much needed break while in SD). Tonight I’m having dinner with my good friend who is MOVING (insert sad face emoji here), and tomorrow spending the day with Emmylou as her daycare is closed (while I continue to try to catch up with work). Phew.
But, I must say playing the catch up game is SO worth it. Before I left, I took some time to really think about what a relaxing few days would look like. I packed magazines, books, a hair mask, and planned to be in bed early each night to catch up on some much needed sleep. Not the wildest of adventures but exactly what I needed :). I honestly don’t know the last time I took a break (not that I was taking a full ‘break’ because I was at a conference, but I really had to force myself to relax and not be on my email every five minutes. Clearly I need more practice… Hehe. And when I got back home, I was so pleased to realize I brought the sunshine with me! It really and truly is spring and I’m loving every moment. And my iced coffee obsession is also starting to make a comeback…
My cold shoulder dress is a great price (size up, I usually wear a small and am in a medium). I also really like this grey t-shirt dress, with the prettiest lace-up back detail, as well as this pink shift dress (also with a lace-up back), and this floral midi dress for something a bit dressier. My jacket is the softest suede and has the prettied scalloping detail (and goes with everything), and I also really like this less expensive suede option. Also, if you’re not in the mood for a jacket, I really like this Free People Ivory cardi and this cold shoulder cardi is a great price and looks so cozy! My lace-up heels are really comfy and come in a few colour options. I also really like these and these (similar – block heel sandals). And these blush wedges look really comfy and have great reviews. My bag comes in two other colours and is really working for all the brown I currently have in my wardrobe :).
Happy Monday all! Hope you’re enjoying some spring weather in your hood as well!
